Code-name: Jet
Given name: Joan “Joannie” Greene
Quote: “I’ll teach you to be afraid of the dark.”
Known relatives/associates: Angelica (mother, deceased), Blackout (father, institutionalized), Iridium (former roommate, former friend), Night (former mentor), Bruce Hunter (runner)
Power: Shadow
Biography: Raised in the Orphanage Wing of the Academy of extrahumans since she was five, Joan Greene trained nearly all of her life to be a hero. Dedicated to Corp-Co’s mantra of “Duty first” to the citizens of New Chicago and the world, Jet is a by-the-book superhero. Since graduating the Academy and taking her place in the elite Squadron, Jet has become the darling of the media. Known as the “Lady of Shadows,” she is the official Hero of New Chicago, and the City is her corporate sponsor. Although the police resent her and all extrahumans, she does her best to help them—whenever and however she can. It’s her job, even if they hate her for it.

Code-name: Iridium
Given name: Calista “Callie” Bradford
Quote: "This is my city. If you don't like it, I suggest you get the hell out."
Known relatives/associates: Vixen/Glitter Vixen (mother), Luster/Arclight (father, incarcerated), Jet (former roommate, former friend), Boxer (henchman), Taser (vigilante)
Power: Light
Biography: Even though her father Arclight is one of the most infamous villains in Corp
history, Calista Bradford joined the Academy when she turned twelve and
began her training to become a hero. But now as an adult, Iridium has taken
her father's place and rules the stretch of New Chicago called Wreck City.
For five years, she has acted as a modern-day Robin Hood, stealing from the
rich and giving to those citizens Corp and the police always seem to
overlook. And even though there were times when Jet has come close, Iridium
has always successfully avoided capture. Iridium is the best there is. And
she knows it.

Code-name: Night
Given name: **CLASSIFIED**
Quote: "The Academy stands behind its heroes, and heroes stand behind the
law."
Known relatives/associates: Vixen/Glitter Vixen (former teammate,
rehabilitated), Luster/Arclight (former teammate, incarcerated), Angelica
(former teammate, deceased), Blackout (former teammate, institutionalized),
Dr. Hypnotic (former teammate, incarcerated), Jet (former protégée)
Power: Shadow
Biography: Once part of the Squadron's Team Alpha and later a proctor at the
Corp-Co Extrahuman Academy, Night is now an ex-officio member of the Corp-Co
Executive Committee, serving as liaison between the Academy and Corp. In his
heroing days, he was one of the most respected -- and most feared --
extrahumans in service. Perhaps that was due to the nature of his Shadow
power. Or perhaps that was all Night. He is still close with Jet, his former
student. Given that they are the only two living Shadow powers in the United
and Canadian States, that is to be expected.

Code-name: Arclight -- formerly known as Luster
Given name: Lester Daedalus Bradford
Quote: "There can be no quarter with Corp. Make no mistake about that"
Known relatives/associates: Vixen/Glitter Vixen (wife, estranged), Iridium
(daughter), Night (former teammate), Angelica (former teammate, deceased),
Blackout (former teammate, institutionalized), Dr. Hypnotic (former
teammate, incarcerated)
Power: Light
Biography: In days past, Luster was the best and the brightest the Squadron
had to offer. But that was then. Luster became Arclight, and New Chicago
worshipped him even as he robbed the city blind. Charming and cocky,
Arclight was the most infamous villain in the city. Glitter Vixen and
Arclight became a modern-day Bonnie and Clyde, glamming it up for the vids
as they hauled off the loot. Arclight's reign was cut short by the Squadron.
He now is one of Blackbird's most infamous inmates...and Iridium's teacher.
She really is her father's little girl. |
